I will stamp all over 'credible fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the pair came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I will injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

Despite such comments, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead attacked former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted British opponent Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving massive earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.

Size Difference

As both boxers engaged in the usual face-off, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is really happening.
